Description

Elmer Kelley Stadium is located in the Madisonville City Park. Originally called Municipal Stadium, it was built in 1941 as a WPA project. The stadium was home to the Madisonville Miners, a professional baseball team from 1946 through 1955. The field was renamed in the 1970s in honor of long-time radio and sports personality, Elmer Kelley. Elmer Kelley Stadium is currently the home of the Madisonville North Hopkins High School Maroons and summer collegiate baseball team, the Madisonville Miners.
